RESTORATION PLAN

Saint Joseph Seminary College would like to begin a five-year plan to restore their aging facility. The plan has begun to move forward with a recent upgrade to the heating and air conditioning system. The auditorium also needs major improvements to its lighting, stage and theatrical rigging system, and to the main electrical network.

Ned Lustig and Associates, (www.LustigAndAssociates.net) a St. Louis, Missouri based theatrical consulting firm, has been retained to help develop a design plan for Benet Hall. Mr. Lustig's initial review of the facility revealed the need for a new lighting and lighting control system to replace the outdated AMX system. Although the current rigging system is sufficient, a new system would be more efficient and better equipped with current safety features.

From the stage curtains to the house lights, most of the theatre's equipment, although in safe working order, needs to be replaced.

The cost of the renovation will be in the range of $400,000. Below is a list of the needed upgrades with estimated costs. Please consider helping us to restore this great facility, which is the only venue of this size for arts and entertainment in St. Tammany Parish.
